Independent Policy Research for Sri Lanka & South Asia

About Us

The Centre for Policy Innovation and Development (CPID) is an independent Colombo-based think tank focused on advancing evidence-based public policy, governance reform, and strategic development. Founded by professionals with experience in politics, law, and media, CPID identifies policy gaps, studies emerging national challenges, and develops practical recommendations that support better decision-making, stronger institutions, and meaningful outcomes for communities across Sri Lanka.

CPID brings together policymakers, academics, civil society, the private sector, and experts to encourage informed dialogue and collaborative policy solutions. Recognising the growing influence of global affairs on domestic policy, our work also explores geopolitics, regional cooperation, and international trends affecting Sri Lanka and South Asia. By combining local experience with global perspectives, CPID delivers forward-looking research designed to translate ideas into practical and impactful policy action.
